According to Weekly Shounen Sunday vol.34, a new season of Inu Yashawas announced to be aired from this autumn. It's the final chapter ofthe series titled "InuYasha Kanketsu-hen" and the original staff andcast will animate the manga volumes 36 - 56.

Wouldn't mind seeing this. At least the animation would be much improved since it last left off. It ended like 5 years ago didn't it?

Not quite sure, Im not really a fan. But I was under the impression it ended a lot longer ago.
