There has been some rather hilarious developments between the fansub groups Shinsen and gg. I really don't know of this show that groups have good or bad relationships with each other, but it is funny.

Been a while since i posted anything about anime news.
Many of you probably know as I am always late finding these things, but a new Shakugan no Shana Anime and Darker Than Black season have been confirmed. These are 2 series that i enjoyed and I'm happy to get more of both. I honestly wasn't expecting either of these.

Useful Anime Info

I have found myself in one of those rare times that I have nothing to upload, no requests, and no broken links for fix. Out of boredom, I have decided to make an intro to anime post that will be made into a page and added to the navbar.

First off what classifies as anime? Anime is any animated program that originated in Japan. Other shows have been done in the "Anime Style"such as Avatar, but these are not actual anime.

Anime comes in 2 basic forums, subbed and dubbed. Subbed anime is in the original language, but has translated subtitles. Dubbed animes have had the voices redone to a language that is not the original, often English. There is also Dual Audio files. These have both the original audio track and the dubbed track. They also often come with subtitles. You can select which track you wantto play and choose if you want to subtitles to be shown or not. The method todo this varies from player to player, but most commonly you simply right click and go under the appropriate menu (Audio/Video/Subtitles/Stream).

How do I download the files off of Megaupload? You can find the way I suggest to download form Megaupload HERE.

How do I play Files? I personally suggest the CombinedCoumminity Codec Pack. It has everything you need and many groups encode their work to be played using it. It will have 2 players with it, MPC which is more basic and Zoom which is more advanced. For people with slower computers that have problems with HD files you can get Core AVC, and or use KMPlayer. Both area bit more advanced in their setup and only suggested to more experienced users.

What anime should I watch next? I personally have 2 ways of going about finding new anime. The 1st is to go down a list of the most popular anime untilI find one that catches my eye. There are 2 popular places to do this, ANiDB and MAL. On ANiDB you may want to go on the right had side and select "hide synonyms" to cleanup the list. The 2nd way is to find an anime similar to another anime that you have liked. You can do this on Anime-Planet and MAL. On both of them, go to the page of the series that you liked. Anime Planet has Recommendations listed right bellow. For MAL you will need to click the recommendations tab at the top.

Some other useful stuff on AniDB. Bellow the tag cloud of a series page and above the episode list you will see a box. The tabs here contain lots of useful information. 1st the groups tab will show you how much of the series has been subbed/ripped and who did it. the next tab of interest is the last one. TheRelated Anime tab will tell you which shows/movies are related to this one andhow. In the top right of that box there is a link to relation graph. This is very helpful for complicated series such as slayers. Much of this info can also be found on MAL, but I simply prefer AniDB.

When will anime x be out, or will anime y have a sequel? The best place to find news like this is Anime NewsNetwork (ANN). To find the latest news on a series all you have to do is search for that series on the main page. To find start dates for series I suggest this page here.

If you can think of anything that isn't mentioned please leave a comment. I want it to be as complete as possible before replacing the current FAQ pagewith it.

Downloading With MU

I have heard a lot of complaints here and on other forums about the loss of Happy Hour Premium. I'm going to explain to you how you can take full advantage of Megauploads currnet settings to work pretty much just as nicely as Happy Hour. First you need a download manager. I suggest Download ThemAll. Next go into the settings. Under main set max concurrent downloads to 1. Under Advanced set max segments to 1. Now open your megaupload pages and enter the codes. Once the download button appears right click and save with download them all. You can que up all the episodes you want and let them download. Only 1 will download at a time so there is no problem with megaupload. With the downloads limits how they are you should be able to get a bit this way without problem, or at least as much as the average person watches in a day.

With this setup there are no counrty limitations like with happy hour and you can just stop it if a new episode for an ongoing series comes out and then start it back up again.

I was surfing the internets and came across a site that had a list of Megaupload Premium Generators. I have tried about 3 and know that at least one works so I would share them. If you find one that you think works well make a comment recommending it to other users if you want. I plan to got through them this weekend and if i find one the works well i will add it to the navbar again.

There are many anime sites that I use for various reasons that I thought I should share. Some of these are download sites so please don't leave us.

First off here are some good information sites.
::AniDB.net:: News :: -Find series info, ratting, and who subbed it
ANN - Series info, what new is coming out
Anime Recommendations - Find new series to watch based on past favorites. Good Reviews

Torrent site
Tokyo Toshokan - Even if you don't torrent it lets you know when new episodes come out

Streaming
Ani2d.net - Anime Squared - Great Quality, Lots of Series, Not the most up to date with on goings
Anime2Leech -Fast downloads for the newest episodes, Good quality streaming for New Episodes

Download
503 Service Unavailable - Gets new downloads very quickly. limit to 1 download at a time, so i prefer Happy Hour to get whole series myself. No download managers!

Anime Blogs (Both are just good for info)
moetron ??????
Random Curiosity

Well hope this helps people, and i hope that my daily visitors don't drop.
